I'd hold off on the punch itself for a couple more frames. Ideally you want the foot and the hand to finish around the same time, so the foot needs to start moving first. I'm also a big fan of double-framing right before impact for extra force, but it's not for everyone.
Pretty nicely done, very smooth.
Try not having a pause between the steps. isn't natural.
How about a longer animation? This one hasn't got enough for me to go on.
always test things iwth your own body- what do you do in prepare for a jump? if you have a freaking trampoline that would be perfect for testing what part of your body does what naturally
True. I wanna start an actual... thing? But right now I'm working on basic movements and I don't have ideas for what I should make exactly. Back in the day, I kinda just did fighting practice. Any ideas for movement tests?
Try combining a walk into a combo into a jump- like an obstacle course. Then watch one of Hyun's fighting tutorials with 2 sticks- they are in flash but some simple layering ideas are there, some people like to start with the reaction stick then the attacker as well.
zed- mind finding the tutorial i was mentioning? I have to sleep badly...
