That's just a copout. I mean it works if you like that type of effect, I know I do, but you actually have to show the power though your movements. Space the punch correctly so that even without the double frame you can still translate the power pretty well.

I learned that powerful movements' spacing needs to be heavy and abrupt. I always keep that in mind whenever I try to animate fighting movements or anything that might require power. Might need a bit of trial and error to get it as right as needed.

Here's four images from Senzo's punch tutorial.

But as you can see here he has a good grasp of easing too, which is important. Work on both things at once, if you can.

He's not holding the gun properly.

People always animate sticks holding weapons with their forearms, not hands. Also, I believe thinner sticks are better to work with than clumsy thick ones when it comes to pivot.

to be honest I learned that double frame effect from a flash tutorial from hyun or oxob3000 on youtube

dont use it until you have the basics of spacing down

The stock of the gun is supposed to be at the shoulders m8, not under the armpit

@Amon Despite the animation's randomness, the actual movements are pretty well done and entertaining. I look forward to seeing what you can do on a serious project. Good job!
