Sticksith: Its pretty good for your first. Is it really your first?
Things i didnt like, the walk and runs needed more frames, stiff, the blood is a .piv thingy (try making blood urself :), movements and physics are off. Things i did like, i liked the 'The End' with the dead bodies, you didnt use the default (kudos to you), and it was fairly long and better than most peoples firsts.
Jakops: this next section applies to you to, read it or skip to the bottem for bahas ulra zomg tutorial. Also Jakops, you need to make then walk not hop or slide, get rid of the default go to www.droidz.org or make your own.
Anyways, for yous.
1. Easing (i posted this part awhile ago, tehe im so lazy)
Think of a car.
It starts off slowly... then it starts to gain more speed... then eventualy it reaches its maximum speed.. then it slowly slows down... eventualy almost still... then stopped.
Now compare this to a punch, when you punch it takes time to reach the maximum speed you can generate, you will gradualy get faster and faster and cover more distance the faster you go.
So a car and a punch might cover distance like so
|-|--|----|------|------|----|--|-|
It starts off slowly, reaches its max speed then slows down.
So for a punch in pivot you would have the first couple of frames in the punch placed fairly close together, then the space beetween the frames would gradualy get wider (simulating speeding up) then when the punch is finished (say the arm is fully outstreched, or it has made contact) you would ease out by slowing down and closing the gaps in beetween the punch (usualy so the viewer can get a chance to see the punch as it makes contact).
Easing just makes it look more realistic and better simulates the way bodies and objects move in real life.
2. Stiffness
Its as simple as moving every joint in every frame and moving them in a realistic way. For example when you punch the arm your not punching with tends to get pulled backwards as your body rotates, furthermore if he has his arm in a karate like position at his hip, it would move less freely but still slightly back as he launches the punch. As well as the arms his legs should lean forward, his back should bend forward and his head lowered.
Im not explaining it very well but yeah no matter what your stickman is doing unless he is standing completely still, never forget about a limb/joint.
3. Physics
Well im not that great at this either but yeah. Example, when a person flies in a certain direction their body gets curved until their head is close to their legs (depending on speed and distance).
Ball bounce
1. When it is at its highest point it will start to slowly fall
2. Gets faster
3 Hits max speed
4. Hits the ground at max speed
4. bounces back up at about 4/5 of its max speed
5. Reaches max speed
7. Shortly after it slows down
8. Slows done to a stop at around 3/4 of the hight it was on the first bounce
9. And the proccess repeats with the hight of the ball declining in a gradient eg 5m, 4m, 3m, 1.5m, 50cm, 15cm, 3cm, stop (well i guess its not a gradient lol)
This is showing how you could apply easing to a ball.
Now if youve read all this your probly like wtf, does this guy have a life, if hes gonna make a mini tut he might aswell make a good one. If you think this, my answer for you is:

Lol, no, i wasn't thinking "wtf, does this guy have a life, if hes gonna make a mini tut he might aswell make a good one." even though I barely understood a word you said, I presume it's my noobiness to pivot rather than your hasty tut :) As for your question "is it really my first," the answer is "yes, but, I messed around in pivot for about an hour before I made it, to get a feel for it. I also looked around the site at other animations and tuts. e.g. Running." And thanks for the link :)
EDIT: And that's a very thorough tut, thankyou!
EDIT: Seriously, that's the best tut I ever saw.

Well then, to reinforce what i said before, thats pretty damn good; for a first.
But bahas tutorial (the one i gave you a link to) will help alot. :D
And no its not your noobiness, im just too retarted to make anything understandable by anyone whos not me, lol.

Christ cronos you have way too much free time to make a post like that.
though some parts aren't true.

lol. Well more people should start making ultra long completely pointless crits
May 15, 2009 4:20 PM #418709
Zed does already :)
I Wish I could make them, but I don't want to.

Wait what?
I don't make my crits that long, although I make a lot of them, and crit other people's crits on occasion.

I saw one of your crits called: How to not be a noob. THAT....WAS....LONG!!!
Cronos, can i have ur stickman? I :3 it

But not being a noob is very useful on this portal.

That's a copy and paste piece of advice. Yes, I made it, but it's gone out to about six different people so far so I recon that on a words per pupil basis it was fairly efficient.
May 15, 2009 5:29 PM #418733
So you do make long crits then ;)
And yes avian :3

Holy shit, long crit. Also, Cronos. Wrong physics are 3/4 times people being lazy.
May 15, 2009 8:21 PM #418797
And the bouncing ball isn't right.
