When did I ever say band music wasn't hard? I was combating your asinine idea that the harder it is to make a song, the better it is. And I don't think you've ever made an electronic song before in your life, so who are you to judge which is harder? I absolutely hate people who act like that. Judging something's complexity by how it sounds and never even taking the time to see it in action before they go around passing judgment.

Actually, basshunter is a pretty good example of commercialized, no-effort electronica. Same with Darude's early music, but he's seriously gotten better since Sandstorm.

I just seriously hate it when people try to negate the value of music by calling it "computer generated". The musicianship is still there, the way it's presented is the only thing that's different from traditional music.

Yeah dude, it's not too easy to make those "computer generated" musics you're talking about.. Try it sometime and then tell me it's such an easy thing... I'm a metal head, but I would never say something as ignorant as your statement... I have made a lot of metal songs in which repeat the same damn thing over and over and over until the solo. I have also made songs by myself by playing drums, guitar, and bass. Does this automatically make me a computer generated music making tool. Oh wait no, I am playing a metal song. Great job Deathbat, you are now my number one raged against member...>:(

Unwritten Law, Kaiser Chiefs, AC/DC, Airbourne and Aerosmith are probably my favourite bands.

Yeah man beat and da harlot iz so fuckin i haardcorrre man!!! i luv the screamin and the paaaaaaiiiiiiinnnn harrrrrrrrr

And yes. BT is a legend.

Faggot. Beast and the Harlot is actually a pretty challenging song, regardless of your musical taste. No screaming either, except for the intro, which isn't really a singing part. Everything else I would've said was noted in Deathbat.'s post.

Also, electronic music is hard to make. I can make up a guitar riff lickity split, but I suck in FL, while some of those who are amazing in FL probably don't even know a chord on guitar. It's all preference.

Yo, I said my last post wrong... I am a metalhead that plays techno music for fun... I use a midi drumset to lay down my "computer-generated" beats... I'm still playing the drums like a normal drumset.... It's just as difficult if not more than metal music... Just depends what you're listening to.

Have you ever even made or attempted to make a computer generated song from scratch? I highly doubt you have or else you wouldn't even be making a statement like this. You're pretty much making an assumption that just because it isn't performed live, then it isn't hard to make. If you have no creativity whatsoever, then it definitely will be hard to make. And furthermore, not all of it is just laying down a beat and throwing a synth lead in there over a bassline. Flying Lotus, for example, uses samples from various sources--from video games to the theme music for The Price is Right. But when he uses them for his music, he mixes them up and makes them his own. You probably could never tell where the samples originated from. Hell, many music producers record tracks from their own instruments.

What you don't seem to realize is that any type of music can be easy to make once you've mastered it. Do you honestly think the people who made that song you keep throwing out there as an example are still having a hard time playing it? Why should something be considered real music based on the difficulty level of it, anyway? Elitist statements like that just show that you know nothing about what you're even bashing and think everyone is required to have the same tastes in music as you.
