Hopefully they have a decent fighting system at least. I'm tired of their shit system where you memorise 1489347934322 buttons to do a combo.

It sucks that it couldn't be a real MK game, I was looking forward to getting the whole Armageddon storyline patched up and then get a nice fresh new konquest and storyline. It looks like it might be okay. I just can't wait for Tekken 6, apparently it's comming out for xbox360 now.

It should not have been DC vs. Marvel. DC vs. MK is an excellent idea. I just hate that it's marketed towards teens. That means as far as violence goes, it's gonna blow.

I didn't give a single shit about this game simply for the fact that it's just another excuse for Midway to milk out their franchise

Before Armageddon came out, it was marketed as "The final Mortal Kombat game before we make a completely new roster and make next-gen games"

The year after, we got a re-release of it for the Wii

And this year, we get this crap

Next year will probably be "DC vs MK the PC version" as an excuse to miss another year of a new MK franchise.

I rather agree with Skate. When I think Mortal Kombat, I think two words.

Redundancy and "puddle".

"Redundancy" because there is so little innovation between games in the series and their sequels, and they don't update the essentials of the game very often at all.

"Puddle" because it is a very shallow series, both in its depth and in it's hook, which is the graphic violence. Any time a modern game uses violence as a major marketing point, I turn my head a bit.

But marvel wouldn't be as likely to agree to do it as DC. Plus, DC is trying to prove that their super-heroes are "edgy" and "modern" rather than outdated.

(Except Batman. He kicks ass)

They need to ****ing get over the gore and violence and focus on the ****ing fighting. The system right now blows cock. If you want blood and gore, then play Dead Space, it has twice as much gore than any MK game anyways and the "fatalities" are waaay more brutal and awesome.

Look at Tekken, DoA, SC, GG, Street Fighter, they all have good fighting systems. MK is just like an explotation of violence with some button mashing thrown in to make it a fighting game.

The one thing MK has going for it is the really awesome story and characters. They need to have a good konquest story for this game and patch up all of the shit Armageddon left off. This whole DC thing is just a stupid spinoff from the MK series, and I hope they don't make the story canon.

They need the main story mode to be Shaolin Monks-like, and the arcade mode to be the 'k'lassic 1 on 1 fighting.

THEN throw in the minigames

And as a side goody, give us a fighting mode exactly like the versus mode in Shaolin Monks, except let it support bots, and let it be up to 4 players.

This, along with completely new characters, would make me buy an MK game.

I'm just pissed that they think their characters can take on DC superheroes. That's just bullshit and everyone knows it. Blah blah magic portal, blah blah. No, Johnny Cage could not take on superman, not in his universe, not in theirs.
