This contains spoilers about The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man.

Two days ago, I watched The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton for the first time, and just like with Iron Man, I was blown away.

When I finished the film, and Robert Downey Junior had his appearance as Tony Stark, I shit my pants (Even though I knew it was coming)

Immediately, I started wondering what the lineup for the next few Marvel movies would be, and whether Captain America would be included in the Avengers film (Can't do Avengers without him, IMHO.)

Just a few minutes ago, I finished watching the movie again, and I dirtied ANOTHER pair of boxers realizing that Stark mentioned a super soldier project, and that earlier in the film, when Ross was talking to Blonsky about the super soldier program, he mentioned that it was started back in "Dubya Dubya II".

Then it hit me: He was talking about the project that spawned Captain America.

So now we know two things.

1) Captain America will likely be included in the Avengers film
2) His origin story will probably take place in World War II, like in the comics.

This brings me to my next speculation.

To just toss aside the chance to make huge profits, I strongly doubt that Marvel won't make a standalone Captain America movie. Inevitably, it will be an origin story taking place during WWII, so expect to see a Captain America film in the next 3 years, and expect it to involve him fighting the Red Skull and Hitler. In order to have him be a part of the Avengers line-up, I think they will end the movie with him stopping a bomb and falling into the Arctic Ocean and winding up frozen in a block of ice, then in a post-credits sequence having him found by S.H.I.E.L.D. unfrozen in modern times, just like in the Ultimates universe.

This will tie in well with the reveal of Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D at the end of Iron Man and with Tony Stark approaching Ross about the team he is assembling. (Obviously the Avengers.)

What I can't wait for is the reveal of Captain America during the Avengers film. Bringing him into the modern day will be an interesting plot, like Austin Powers, but less comedic.

This is all speculation, but I'm dead certain now that Iron Man, The Hulk, and Captain America will be int he Avengers line-up.

Now, to end this Wall-o-Text, I'll say one last thing:

Marvel making Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk themselves rather than giving the rights to another studio was the smartest move in comic-to-movie adaptation history. No studio would have the balls to do what Marvels doing by tying all their films together like in the comics. I have to say, I'm excited about the future of Marvel Comics-based film adaptations.

Isn't caps shield in Iron Man?
And you can sort of see his frozen body in another Marvel film?

I'm not sure where I read that but they're in there somewhere.

I believe that it was in the Hulk movie you can find Capt. America's shield buried in snow. In Iron Man, you can see the shield somewhere. Hold on, I'll find links/pics.

EDIT: Yeah, here's the link.

That may be, but how many red, white, and blue circular objects do you find in snow?

And it may be my eyes fooling me, but I think I see a shape of a body next to the "shield."

Perhaps if I were to see it in motion, with something next to it so I can get an idea of it's size, I may buy it, but since it's actually blue and white, not red, I doubt it.

I thought of this about 3 days after the Hulk came out in theaters, just not quite as in depth. Mainly just the Avengers part was noticed.

Anyway, I think it'd be awesome.

Anyone with a square jaw and rather ridiculously huge pecs with that loud charismatic announcer-type voice

I'm more interested in that when they do make the avengers, who else is going to be in it?

I hope they don't pull some crap like bring the other marvel movies over the years into it (like spiderman, or ghost rider. God damn not ghost rider, that movie was so terrible) and yes, I know those weren't actually avengers, but still.

I mean, the original cast was like the Wasp, Thor, Hulk, and Iron Man if I remember right. Captain America joined later, but its only smart to bring him into the first movie's team, if there's even more than one.

How about the other characters? Are they going to just randomly be introduced in the movie, kinda like how horribly X-men 3 handled it?

The line-up has been confirmed to have Captain America, Hulk, Iron Man, and THOR. ****ing THOR.

How the hell are they going to make THOR an interesting character? He's a ****ing Norse GOD in the body of a frail teenager. That's boring as hell. It'll be the worst part of the movie for sure. I can't imagine them making Thor look good on camera.

By not making him a teenager.

For example, look at Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

Overly buff ****ing rape machine. With a huge hammer.

Thor is one of my favorite heroes in all honesty.
