View Profile It's because people abuse alcohol. If you legalize any drug it will become more common and easier to get, thus incidents as a result go up.
I didn't know taking a few beers then driving was abuse, learn something new everyday I guess. Not if it's government regulated, it's easier to get drugs then it is to get alcohol if your underage. (i forgot the source link though unfortunately)It's not like I'm for anyone under 18 using any drugs, and there are plenty of legal psychedelics and I don't see the world up in flames.

View Profile Don't be like that. You know exactly what I mean. The laws for drinking and driving are there for a reason. The laws on cocaine are there for a reason. The laws on DMT are there for a reason. It wouldn't be illegal if it had no flaws like everyone is saying it does.

No they arent. DMT cant hurt anybody but the user, and even then i dont think its been proven to be harmful. therefore, decriminalize it.

View Profile I'm not saying that there be no laws to it, obviously the same would apply to any drugs as their would for alcohol, no use while operating heavy machinery etc etc. And I'm also not saying it doesn't exist without it's flaws, I don't know enough about DMT to argue that point, but when used responsibly I don't see anything wrong with it.

View Profile because its not hurting anyone. It MIGHT do some damage to the user (im not really sure) but other than that, nothing. Your basically asleep wen you use it, so hurting someone else really isn't possible. unless you do it while driving a car..which would just be the users fault, not the drug itself.
And this is what it boils down to. The user. Yes most people will be responsible when they use drugs. Most will. But every 1 in 100 people or so decides that, no, I can drive while drunk, I'll be fine etc. Then shit goes wrong. Yes,
most people who take DMT will be responsible and not have any adverse reactions to it, but there is always that small group of people that ruin it. Same goes for guns, same goes for weed, same goes for alcohol.

View Profile Then why is alcohol legal while everything else isn't?

View Profile I have no idea to be honest. Probably because it has become such a big industry and a part of peoples lives.

It's because they figured out prohibition doesn't work, when they first made alcohol illegal it gave rise to mass amounts of crime. Al Capon first started off because of the prohibition of alcohol, cops and politicians would turn corrupt and deaths due to shipping and all that crap of alcohol also increased. They figured that the only way to stop it as to make it legal again. All prohibition does it make crime, drugs aren't the reason why so many people die, it's because of the fact that it's illegal and when you go buy any type of drugs, your dealing with criminals, not a friendly bartender. Prohibition just doesn't work.
