Neither make any kind of sense.

If there was no light, there would be no reason for darkness. Darkness is a lack of light. When there is no light, there is "darkness". Since there is nothing darker, darkness doesn't really exist.

There is a thread that involves something about it here. Look in the literature section.

No...i mean what it says...Light can not exist without darkness...(I'm referring to no matter where you go, if there's light then they'll be darkness...in this case if someone or something is in Light, there is always going to be a Shadow....nothing more) Maybe i should said "Where there is Light...there is darkness" since it would make more sense.
