I get the same thing. i never know how to make them fall. i think from there, have him spin backwards, twirling his arms. ease that to a stop, have him float for a second, then fall quickly past the bottom of the screen.

Don't make their heads different colors. It's an unnecessary part of the animation that draws from the animation in total. There was no gunshot, and the gun was drawn like a grey stick. The other guy stopped moving. But I guess you know that.
