anyways, i thought it was ****ing hilarious. i had low expectations for it, even though i'm a fan of carrey, i thought it wasn't going to be that good.

Pretty much the plot is similar, but it's less about him getting into bad social situations, and more of him getting in otherwise crazy situations.
