I don't really think its the time you PUT in the animation , it will just generally take longer if you are good , I don't make animations that take longer than a day , and see I'm still good , just concentrate on applying all the basics when animating , and it will just automatically take 4-5 hours for not too long animations.

no you did not make it out. they 2-5 day rule only works for interz to Av, or Av to elite. 
watch this and i am barely STILL in the begginer section. i can post out here and noone cares but i still belong in the beginners... do whatever you want but you will be flamed if youre not good enuff and post in this section

I think the outside is for high beginner -> elite
but I don't know...
wait... I mean 2-5 days is that you animate 1-3 hours per day..
