If you commit a crime the government deems serious enough, you will be sent back to you home country and dealt with there. Also, I have it. Yeah, it's not like some "get out of jail free" card. It just gets you off the hook from stuff like being caught for underaged drinking.

Yeah, this was one of the first things that I thought about while reading through this thread. People saying murder and rape would never be able to live with themselves if they actually did any of those.
