The point of this thread is to sort all this junk out, which is what everyone is trying to do. This stuff can only be talked about before this starts. Also, people only complain if they feel mistreated, and nothing should ever be dismissed as whining before round one begins. After it starts people shouldn't complain, but I think its a bit arrogant to criticize people as they try and figure out the details of a big commitment.

Speaking of which, I don't think I'll be around often enough to be a consistent judge, so take me off I guess. Good luck.

I think if someone in inter turns out work that good, he or she's pretty much already won :]. Also, the difference in prize money isn't really that big, and if this were really about the money, there wouldn't be three rankings, just one big tournament where everyone can get the same prize. The purpose of rankings is to keep people from feeling like they have no chance of winning.

You guys gotta remember its about getting better. So if someone gets drastically better as the tournament goes on we should all just celebrate, give them credit for it and move on.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, do we have to use stick figures in the sense that they're made with one line or can we use 3d figures that are stick shaped?

You guys don't understand. In each category, judges will rate by the level of that category. Which means that in beginner, the winner of a round can take like... 9.5/10. That's why we have categories.

If an inter turns out better than all pros though I don't see why he wouldn't get the pro prize. But, of course, that will never happen.

Airec explained the concept well there. And yes, you can use 3D stick figures.

what if you say 'well for a beginner thats a 9.5' then in the next round someone completely smashes what that 9.5 was but still...the max you can give them is another 0.05.

just a thought :S im sure you're thinking it through just trying to filter out possibilities XD
