Spoilers
@Ash
They don't "let" him do anything, don't you remember?
"Do it? Dan, I'm not a republic serial villain, do you think I would reveal my masterstroke if there remained a slight chance of you affecting its outcome. I did it thirty five minutes ago."(Cut to shot of dead new yorkers.)

It seems to me like the problem is that it's too much like the comic, and as such alienates people who haven't read the novel.

Saw it today! lmao cut class to see it!
It was great and it met most of my expectations, and exceeded some more. For instance, the fight scenes and choreography were some of the best i've seen in any movie ever.
My major complaint is that alot of the music they used did NOT FIT at all!!!
especially my chemical faggot romance and the end credits.
They really should of used Take A Bow by Muse in the movie too, not just in the trailer, it fit perfectly......actually so would alot of the majority of Muse songs.(obsessive muse fan)
The changed ending was also a major dissappointment, but understandable i guess. The explanation they used worked just as well.
(btw: this has got to be my first post on SPP in atleast 2 years :P)

Read the IGN review to understand why the ending does not work just as well, and in fact, sucks cocks.

wow, that reviewer has a good point. damn then, that really ****ed it up.
However, i think that the movie ending...gave a better reason for Dr.Manhattan to leave Earth, where as in the novel he really had no obligation to leave....spoiler>
If you're going to write about spoilers and not want to ruin people's movie experience, at least next time make them actually invisible.
