There's a low-budget film being made by a small group of Halo fans called "Operation Chastity". While at first it sounded like it would be complete shit, I read the article and found that they are going far with it. They are constructing a real, working warthog, and the film is going to focus on a small group of UNSC soldiers as they fight the survivors of a crashed Covenant ship. The film's budget is approximately $40,000.

Yeah, like I said, this is a really low-budget undertaking. That doesn't mean it can't be good though. I mean, watch the whatsinthebox test film:

That was made for about 700 euros, I think.

I think that they should use some of that money to advertise a donation campaign. They NEED money for this. Really badly. They need to open up donations to the public, that way the hundreds of fans of the Halo series that want to see a movie can help. Perhaps they can set up a system so that if you donate $100 or more, you get an advance copy of the film or something?

I know. have you seen Neil Blonkamp's live-action promotional shorts for Halo 3? They were made for a meager budget as well.

Don't worry, fans are so hoping for a movie that they will pay anything.
Even if the only thing they get is a name signature on the official website or something.

This looks awesome and is just a overall hypefest to push the idea for a professional studio film. Its probably helping sell the idea since that they said that they were trying to appeal the idea of a Halo Movie when the writer of the script was trying to sell it to all kinds of studios.

And also I think that bungie gave Peter Jackson the "Halo Bible". They said that it was a Halo wikipedia and literally had EVERYTHING to know about the universe of halo.
