Death penalty is terribly wrong and stupid, for one simple reason: the law system is not infallible. Even if you disregard all the ways a corrupt government could abuse the death penalty, fact is that an innocent person could still be wrongly convicted and executed, and that alone is reason enough not to have capital punishment. Any system where the government has the right to legally kill an innocent person based on the conviction that that person is guilty, is a fundamentally flawed, and backwards system.

Exactly.

Even if you argue that some peoples' commit horrible crimes, have no chance of reform, deserve death or whatnot, it doesn't change the fact that giving the judicial system the power to kill somebody is just plain scary.

I'm not sure if I'm all for the death penalty or not, but I know I'd rather be dead than in jail. What's the point in living if you cannot enjoy life?

Life sentence should = death penalty. They're wasting money on people who won't "live" besides sit in a cell for the rest of their lives.

That is a shit load more people who could quite easily be innocent.

Also if I remember correctly it is actually cheaper to keep them alive then it is to go through all the legal procedures just to kill them.

No its more money to do lethal injection and hold on death row. No death row and 1 shot to the head execution = epic.

How the frick did they manage that? Making it more expensive to dispose of a person than have the person occupy a cell en facilities for the rest of his natural life? One syringe full of air straight into a vein and you're dead, don't even need to cleanse the needles, dead people don't get aids anyway.

It is mainly because it needs to be more expensive. Else the state will have an incentive to convict people to death rather than life imprisonment or another punishment, which would suck.

it should be. we are paying bills for them to be in prisons, and without the death sentence means a build up of convicts, which leads to either:
-more peopple in cells=more gay rape cases=BAD
-more prisons=more bills=BAD

just kill the bastards. and by the way, getting released on good behavior is the biggest SHIT i have ever heard.

If hte person killed someone then strip there body for organs instead of killing them, it can help the civilians have a new kidney liver ect. or test vaccines so non criminals dont have a chance of dying plus it would make a example and have less crime since who would like to die a painful death. oh and what Beefy said

lol
take their organs and then give them aids and inject vaccines into them!

so basically if you commit a crime you should be an organ donating lab monkey!

i sure would hate to accidentally hit someone in the dark that darts out into the street in that country

well
I think that this is getting a bit cruel now:Dope:
If someone would just take my organs and give to other people and then I get their ill organs is bit mad and just ****in' cruel
in this cause I would rather like to die than to experience that( but they could take the organs after I died)
but
actually I wanted to say what I think about the death penalty
I contra the death penalty because if you just give those murderers so many years in prison so that they die before they get out ( or they come out when they're to old to kill anyone)
I would just prefer the death penalty in cases like Osama Binladen(that piece of ****) or stalin or hitler
