I had the same feeling, but the playing style kinda threw me off.
When on massive teams (and when the map permits it) I go either sniper, medic, or engineer.

I like being demoman for everything. Other than that, I'm either a spy or engie. But I've got about 20 hours demoman play-time and the rest less than 3 hours.

Soldier and Engineer are the funnest classes for me. I enjoy using Soldier more.

I guess you'd have to be a little simple power hungry nub whose only excuse to act tough on the internet is being a really big class with a really big gun.
