the reason SP forums have remained popular amongst its select community is because through the stick animation ages (past 5-6 years) a huge majority of the other forums just felt like a bunch of random animators all jostling for attention.
for some reason SP has always been different, just being a bunch of chilled out mother****ers just lookin for a good time.
other forums have mocked us over time, but i could always see a glint of jelousy in their eyes when they went back to their own forum only to be confronted with the 500th random stick fight collab and 'POST UR FAV MATRIX SCENE' main threads.
Not saying SP is elitist or anything. Well, ok, we are.

I can see where you're coming from, this place has a lighter and, if you conduct yourself right, friendlier atmosphere to toher sites where you have to be within a circle of friends or you are left out and can't really try to join in.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Quote from ScHaLLDamn right, Chimera. At the moment I'm actually feeling the strong urge to touch an animation program again, just to see how I would do. But if I ever do so, it'll more likely be Easytoon.
Nice..
This forum will not survive unless we make it survive, newbs take time to become pros, and specially the ones who are 10-13 years old. We need more of the 15-17 year old dudes here, other wise this forum will sink.
Would CJ, zulu, dudman and paperclip even care after 1 or 2 more years?

I don't think of this forum as an animating forum any more. That was my input for this thread.

It makes them money, of course they care.

Newbies come for the flash, and then stay for the community and then they leave the nest and go into the real world. It's a v icious cycle

This forum is cool. More for socializing than animating though.

I wonder if there will be anyone that will stay, even if his/her visits are infrequent, forever. Also, when ZuLu,CJ and all the others die in 70 years, who will take over? :O

weren't you one of the first admins, way back before I was even here? Where the hell is your purple name? You need to spam ZuLu and demand one.

I'm a bit of a lurker for the past year or so. It's not that I hate the forum, it's just that after a few years all of the topics run together and people have the same conversations over and over. Not to mention skill level has gone down due to many lazy animators, so there's not as much worth my time.
