If America got severely crippled via an environmental reason or a serious terrorist strike.
Would the USA bounce back and reclaim its super power status or would it become a country more like the UK and Australia or sink down to the same level as something like greenland.
Then if it did collapse what would happen to the world economy and the balance of power?
What would happen?

A socialist government would be implemented in order to deal with the threat, it would be more responsive to the UN and would be more like a puppet government of the UK, as we would take supplies and aid from the UK. The UK would then ally with America and come up with some other suitable name, like the UK&A buddies.
China would become a greater world power, and would continue to build it's power by supplying everything... like it does now.

Yes, China would take advantage of their temporary weakness and engulf them with Asian-oriented attacks. The US would never have time to get back up.
then my race would take over the world
then my race would take over the world

Firstly - how did I miss this thread? was it moved from a different section or something?
Second - no country has ever bounced back to be the global superpower more than once.
Thirdly (@Jeremy) - it could happen theoretically. What if all your power plants were simultaneously destroyed? What if by some unimaginably good planning and organisation all the congressmen, senators and the president were assassinated at once (and maybe some of the guys who plan logistics for elections)? What if one of those hurricanes you guys keep getting hits slightly higher up and takes out Washington/New York/whatever other tiny cities are in that area? What if an engineer made a mistake and one of your nukes detonated in its silo? And let's not rule out war with China.

That wouldn't happen. Sorry its just a fact.
What I think is more interesting is why you are focusing on America, if we aren't the most powerful or influential country why are all you fags curious about what would happen if we were crippled?
Ill save you the trouble. Its because we are the best.

Debating something like this is pointless, because it depends on the exact nature of the attack how this would turn out.
Also, I wouldn't bet too heavily on China. They are heavily dependent on us. Same with India. I think we are nearing a point where the world is done with superpowers, as the economies of different countries become more and more intertwined.

I think you have the relationship with China round the wong way. They have been stockpiling solid wealth, i.e. with the money that they get from the states for all of the products that they make. Hell if I remember correctly, the stats have borrowed money from China to fund the war effort.

No, it's because that's what the topic is about. If I went into a lengthy discussion about how Britain couldn't recover from a crippling disaster either it would be completely irrelevant.

If this turns into an USA vs. UK debate, I'm going to ban a lot of asses. Play nice.

For the record, I offered a truce on that front and received one yes, one no and one no response.

I was asking the OP why he made this topic, not you, faggot.
