Lucky for me I already decided to only eat salads to go on a diet for a while, and I don't go out much. Lucky me... Well maybe not :(

I saw a report on the news about this. It's not a lot to really worry about.

Nearly (if not all) deaths are in Mexico where some parts are almost third world. They died because of the poor healthcare.

Over here and in the US, it's easily treated effectively, those infected in the US were treated and are now fine.

The face masks don't do a lot and aren't very effective. they're only really used to reassure people.

Testing has shown that the human swine influenza H1N1 can be treated with the antivirals oseltamavir (Tamiflu) and zanamivir (Relenza), according to the UK's Health Protection Agency. The health secretary, Alan Johnson, said yesterday that Tamiflu had proved effective on patients in Mexico. Demand has historically been greatest for Tamiflu, which comes in tablet form, while Relenza must be inhaled.

So, there aro two cures, but they are not readily available, and may run out. Also the British "cobra" association, has already got to work on preventing it from coming to england.

wohoo!! Anyway, I read somewhere there is enough medicine and/or vaccinations for one in two people (50% of the population), and they are making more (in England anyway), plus they are taking measures to prevent it from happening at all. So basically, it's nothing to worry about over here, and I'm guessing it's the same in other MED countries.

I would hardly say nothing to worry about, becuase scientists have never seen this type of virus before, but in England we are preparing for it.

Also, it's going to hit some of the LEDC's hard, and the unprepared MEDC's. There still will be some deaths in England, so I am hoping my sorry heart it's not me or someone I know.

That better happen or else I'm moving to the UK and kick your ass for a while.

A friendly kick ass of course.

Lucky me I'm in central Europe and we are currently checking again and again everything and everyone that enters. Good we found out early. =\ Damn... so many areas infected, so many deaths already. Yep, this is worse than the avian flu for sure. And I can bet there will be more to come. =\

Krob.... that was just... disgusting.

Anyway, I've been reading up on this swine flu malarky, and It seems to be worse than I already thought.

A global outbreak could cost the world economy $3 trillion (£2tn) according to calculations by the World Bank in 2008. Shares in Asia and Europe have fallen, although pharmaceutical companies which make vaccines and drugs have seen their stock rise.

I always lol at how the government cares more about money than about lives.
