Yes it's happened a few times to me and I can tell you that it is pretty scary at the time it happens especially if it lasts more than a few seconds. One time I woke up from a dream where somebody was sneaking up behind me and as I tried to sit up in my bed to check what was there, my body was stuck in place. It feels really uncomfortable like your mind wants your body to move but your body is simply too tired to budge and your mind starts freaking out because you feel trapped.
Usually though it lasts no more than 10-15 seconds and I fall back asleep within a minute or two of it happening.
Edit:
I read the article after I wrote the above and this would explain that feeling I had of someone creeping up on me. The way it describes it fits it perfectly.
"In addition, the paralysis state may be accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (hypnopompic or hypnagogic) and an acute sense of danger.[10] Sleep paralysis is particularly frightening to the individual due to the vividness of such hallucinations.[11] The hallucinatory element to sleep paralysis makes it even more likely that someone will interpret the experience as a dream, since completely fanciful, or dream-like, objects may appear in the room alongside one's normal vision."
