Hi all,

I think the admins would hate me because i started this topic but.
I just give it a try.

I made a poll for this reason,
Many people @ SPP are missing the 3D artists or want to learn 3D better.
Im not really good at 3D myself but im posting alot from what i made et etc.
Anyways the 3D artist still dont have their own section so the poll goes about

Make a 3D section/2D section in art or show off..

It would be great to have our own section for many reason like:

*People can find faster what is 3D in show off and what is 2D.
*People now who are the most active 3D artists to ask questions
*The most active 3D artists can make tutorials, or help new people.
and many more

Can the admins even think about it?

Answer the poll pls
Kieran.

many people complain because you need to search now @ art first what is 2d and what is 3d.
also people like to watch to 3d and have many questions about it thats my point

No, this is an animating forum. A 3d animation subforum could be done but a 3d art section is unneeded.

3d art is special. it needs its own section. and not all 3d objects are art. so its its own clasification ^_^

I don't think I have heard anyone complain except for you. There are like 5 people here who do 3d, so there isn't a need to create a whole other subforum for those 5 people. Just use what is there.

There are 3 3D artist in the whole forum.
And even they aren't active a whole lot, so no. I think that it would be a useless section with 4-5 threads max.

There are more then 3, come on now.

Using the art section is kind of discouraging for 3d artists because the threads get knocked down so quickly. This is especially the case with more intense models because you need a WIP thread.

So ya, I think having a forum would be cool. Maybe a subforum in art would be fine too.

I've submited 1 or 2 but hardly enough to count as contributing. Even if a subforum was made, how many people actualy give good advice on your work?

From what I've seen in the past, the 3d community here is pretty tightly knit. I've gotten tons of advice, help and general critiques. Mr. Pancake even wrote me a full tutorial lol.

To be honest, I don't know how well it would work. I'm just speaking my mind.
