Great movie, definately worth a watch at the theater. Not too many complaints, just confused as to why they constantly alternated between scenes in space with and without sound.

Ah, yes, how could I forget.

Live long and prosper.

I've been neglecting to see it becuase I've had serious doubts of it being any good. If you really think it's a good movie, I mean, it can't be that bad.

Also, Kirk doesn't seem to fit.

i've only heard good things about it from critics.
though trekkies hate it for their trekkie reasons.

Roger Ebert, who I thought must be the only critic with a brain after he gave Knowing a much-deserved 4 stars, gave this a negative review.

WTF?

But anyway, I'm going to see it tommorrow, probably, so I'll give my full opinion then.

I liked it. All I can say about it. The story got a little confusing, so I'm watching it again.

I saw it today. The effects were very well done, and I thought that the story was explained quite well considering I had nearly no prior knowledge to the Star Trek plot and shit, so it was a good movie.

Again, the effects were really, really good. Especially that one part when the red matter exploded the Romulan ship; that was awesome.

I thought it was okay. It's pretty good for a blockbuster.

Problems:
1. I saw it in IMAX: yes it's a problem. All the annoying ****ing shaking is twice as shaky on a super big screen. Almost gave me a headache. The movie wasn't shot on 70mm so it didn't look great on an imax screen.
2. The momentum was constant, but that means a lot of moving from this to that quickly. Thus creating a shit load of plot holes.
3. Shaky camera work
4. Some re-used shots, which I find atrocious.

So yea, it was okay if not fine. I'm going to put my money on Terminator over this. It's still worth watching even if you've never watched star trek (like me).

It's a proper rip off, off Star Wars. Seriously.

Except some of that was purposefully done out of order to make a joke. That was just college humor trying to be funny, not serious.

I didn't see any rip off worth noting.

Haha....

Star Trek was good, really good. i couldn't enjoy it that much cause i was sitting in the second row but despite that, it was good.

Someone pleeeeaaassseee explain to me the plotholes that the trekkies are pointing out?
