choppy and stiff, when you try to punch someone you won't only move one arm, also the legs and the other arm a bit.

Beginners section.

Probably best to stop that movie for now, otherwise you'll have put a lot of work into something that won't look so good. It's probably better for you to start off practising the basics. Learn about easing and smoothness. Physics are the other important bit, although I haven't seen you mess that up yet.

I think the most important piece of advice actually is that in pivot, you don't jut tell the limbs where to start and where to finish - you need to tell them where to go in the middle as well. Godlike though pivot may be, it is incapable of filling in the blanks or thinking "yeah, he told me to just jump straight there, but I recon he wants motion".

I disagree. You can move a single joint. (But it will look stiff.)

And you will look like an idiot , and there would be no force ( in case of a punch) and that probably would never happen unless your fooling around. + it doesn't look esthetically pleasing , and if it doesn't whats the point of doing so?

He didn't say it would look GOOD, he only said it COULD be done with one joint.

Then whats the point of saying that if the other person didn't even say it isn't possible?
