Yeah, I just broke out of my shocked state of mind.

**** dude, there seriously wasn't a play that the lakers scored on, in which Kobe didn't help somehow. Kobe was on ****ing Fire.

Yeah, you guys saw his and1s? Holy shit
The Magic played like horse shit today and if they continue to do so, Lakers take championships 4-0. I'm afraid it's going to happen and the Magic will be humiliated during the process.

Little early to call that, STUFF. But it would be...

Magic's shooting abilities were pitiful, they rely way too much on 3-pointers and if they aren't shooting well, they're ****ed.

I'd say. Shooting 30% overall and being 8-for-23 from downtown was definitely a poor outing for the Magic. Especially with the Lakers shooting at 46%.

Dwight only scored 12 points that game. Pietrus was leading the team in points with just 14. The Laker's defense finally started to kick in after the second quarter, I guess.
But it's too early to call. The Magic's a pretty resilient team. This isn't the first time this series where they lost game one. You guys remember the Celtics series, of course. Jameer Nelson made a pretty good comeback, too. Even considering the fact that he had to play a bit more conservatively.

I admit, I thought the Magic had a very good shot at it when Jameer came in. His first three assists were pretty sexy, but afterwards, Dwight couldn't make anything and both Lewis and Turkoglu couldn't make a shot. Dwight played pitifully. 12 points at the end and 10 were from free throws. The Big 3 in the Magic can combine their scores and Kobe still tops them.
We'll see. According to statistics, Phil Jackson has never lost a series when the Lakers win the first round, but like it was already mentioned, the Magic are a resilient team and will hopefully bounce back. Kobe said the same thing about them after Game 1, but it'll all come down to how good the D is on the Magic side. Pietrus did a great job, but Kobe just kept sinking them in. In every replay, Pietrus' hand would be all over his face yet it all goes in like clockwork.

Since I missed 2 quarters of the game, can I assume that the Lakers figured out how to effectively defend the Magic's offense? Or did the players just bomb all of their opportunities to score?

Magic had a 30% shooting percentage. So I would say the latter of your guesses is correct.
No doubt, the Magic has the ability. Their defense was great, but the Lakers' offense was even better. That's what did it.

Oh, alright.
On a side note, did anyone else lol at Kobe's "mean face?"

Gortat's been pretty good defensively, too. It's a shame how underrated he is.
And Dark, I laugh at that all the time. His teeth remind me of the Angry Beavers, ironically.

Yeah, I liked Gortat's block on Bynum. He was faked at first and swatted with his right hand and when Bynum was really going for the shot, he swatted with the same hand and TURNOOOOOOOVER!!! (maybe it was Odom i forget)
Why is the next game Sunday..it should be tomorrow or something
Jun 6, 2009 4:10 AM #433251
They're probably spacing them out a whole lot because it's the finals.

I think after Sunday they're going to be every other day.
