Haha, I do that a lot. Then I keep dodging their attacks for ages until they really believe I'm a red spy. I then let them shoot me, and they usually say "dude WTF?!" "Why didn't you let me spy check?!"

Anyway, go out on to the balcony and if anything looks bad, head back to your courtyard, shoot a bit to fend people off and head down to intel.
