I thought it looked cool almost abstract kinda way you know?

i didn't see anything abstract in it, at the very most it is semi-abstract.
but abstract?
have you ever taken art?
abstract is where something that is not a realistic item "substitutes" as something from the real world.
Semi-abstract is when something realistic is "bent" to create something realistic in a sense but not a true item to its core form.
I guess that's sort of a way to explain it.
i dunno, anyone else care to add to that?

For the most part he did say it was semi abstract, he said it looked similar to abstract. He did not officially declare it as an abstract picture. He was simply showing how he thought it looked, most likely to the fact that it is an unrealistic looking spider, that is all edgy and off colored.

it's not abstract. Go ask a ****ing professional, and no, you can't ask yourself cos you're not even close to professional. No person (professional or not) who knows art would know and tell you that this is NOT ABSTRACT.
go look abstract art up on google images and look at it, then compare it to this, they are two completely different things.

i have seen a yellow and black spider before. Just because people don't colour the picture to exact realism doesn't mean it's then called abstract.

I do know art.
Abstract is not an opinion it is like a genre of art. I have seen spiders with these colours, therefore it is not abstract.
Semi-abstract is what i will settle at, but abstract is way over the line.
