Lot's more to do in WoW.

I used to play Guild Wars with a lot of my friends. The cap level is 20 for Guild Wars and the campaign can get pretty interesting considering the storyline.
So basically there's two modes in Guild Wars, the PvP mode and the Campaign mode.
Campaign mode is like any other MMORPG, you train, gain levels, get skills, etc etc.
PvP mode is where you start off at the cap level and you basically join battles and fight it out. PvP is more skill oriented because you spend your time finding the best strategies for your class and different skills interact with other skills. For example, one skill might cause crippling and the next skill you use might do +20 damage on crippled enemies. Or there's a skill that causes bleeding and the next skill you use might cause bleeding enemies to become crippled and it goes on and on. You just want to kill the enemy before he kills you. Give it a try, it's great for a non-subscription game.

Exactly. Guild Wars has no monthly fee, therefore I can afford it.
and NVM about buying it, I didn't realize there was a trial. I'm gonna see if I like it-then buy it.
Thanks Stuff for the info. Which mode do you recommend?
Is it just me or is there alot of downloading? Like you download the game, then after you make the char you gotta download some more stuff...

It's the same with most MMO's
You install the release content, then download the patchs that were made after.

Yeah, basically after you download those files, you don't need to download it anymore. It's basically downloading the maps and loading other players.
To start out, I'd recommend you choose PvP mode to learn what each skills do and to get used to every character, but keep in mind, getting skills in PvP mode is much different than getting skills in Campaign.
Forgot to add that in Campaign mode, you can switch your character over to PvP any time you want, but it is recommended that you cap your character first. In Campaign, you can craft unique shirts and weapons that you can not get in PvP unless you buy it from other players, but it is not easy to run across.
