How can you "make" your own sounds in FL studio?

That guy is using something called Ni-Pro 53.
Any tips on doing stuff like this? I'm getting pretty bored of the presets and I can't always find good samples to download.

Use 3xOsc, Sytrus and Ts404 Bassline Synthesizer.
All presets, but can be edited infinitely.
Pro-53 is a very good synth ;3
Basically add it to a mixer slot, and play with all the effects you can.
You need to learn about attack, delay, reverb, etc.

well, I've been messing with reverb, compression, phaser, love filter etc etc, however I've only really been turning random knobs until I find the right sound (half an hour later).
Are there any tutorials on how to use that stuff properly (from the basics?).

Thanks, I've decided to get nexus, and maybe vanguard (as well as try out 3xOsc etc).
I have another question. When I make a song, nothing is above 0 db, and everything is as it should be, not too much of one effect etc. However, when I play it it seems to crackle every now and then, like when you touch your TV with static on it, except it's constant and annoying. Why is this? This is a song where it happens a lot:

It only does it in FL, and when I save it as an MP3, the mp3 sounds good and I can't hear the crackling.

thats your computers cpu, cant take all the sound.
also you need to learn what every button and knob do inside a vst to harness it's capabilities

Oh, Well I thought I had a good CPU. I have an AMD dual core OC'd to 3,0GHz. My sound card is a C-Media CM6501. Would I benefit from upgrading my sound card to this?

Aparrently it has 64 MB X-RAM which means all the sound processing will go to the card, not the CPU.
Also, how come it only happens in fruityloops and not on the mp3?

because the mp3 isn't being rendered as it's being played.

Oh right. I increased the buffer and it seems to have fixed it, and there is little lag :)
I still might get that sound card though.
