View Profile Yeah, my parents know.
I don't think anyone in my family believes in anything supernatural, but everyone but my dad are still part of the church. So officially, I'm christian.
I'm thinking of resigning from the church after high school though.
IT'S EASY NOW YOU CAN DO IT ONLINE I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO LEAVE THE HOUSE!

View Profile I am Islamic (Muslim).
I believe in gawd, but not Jesus.
Well, I believe Jesus is real, he is one of our prophets. So is Moses, and most of all, Mohammad, but none of them really had any god powers.

View Profile Eh, my mom and dad hate the concept of god. So they don't care what religion I believe in.
Heck, they make fun of the pope all the time.

View Profile Jesus is a historical figure born around 4 AD.
Kay.
That, Dragon.
That is not proof. Find me a text referring to his existence that was written in the first century.

View Profile and my Dad was talking about Penn from Penn & Teller and said something along the lines of "And he's really cool because he's an atheist, so he isn't biased".
Wait, how does that make him unbiased?

View Profile I'm an atheist, my parents are supposedly Christians but they're not very religious about it. My grandpa on my dads side was a pastor so that makes it kinda awkward and my grandma on my moms side is extremely religious. and everyone else in my family is religious. My friends are also religious and very into church. I wouldn't have a problem telling my parents that I'm atheist, I honestly don't think they'd care. But I don't because it would eventually leak to everyone else and then everyone I know would be trying to convert me. So I play along when I have to in order for people to think I'm Christian.

Anyway, have you people not ever heard the saying. "A open enemy is better then a closed friend. Because at least you know where you stand with an open enemy."
Seriously, if you are going to rip the shit out of religion on the internet, grow a pair and do it in the real world. As fuck, at least I am open about my beliefs.

What if your whole family were die-hard atheists and would go apeshit if they found out you were a christian?
It's easy to be open about your beliefs to people who share them.
