Its a long read but really interesting. The pyramids are completely cosmic ray proof (which is one of the theories for 2012). The Pyramid of Giza could hold 120 people, to survive with all the supplies they would need for 1 year. Its really incredible.

The pyramids aren't completely cosmic ray proof. There are air vents leading outside through which extreme heat can leak. Either the egyptians were brilliant future-seers with an incredible grasp on quantum physics but an extremely poor grasp on the simplest aspect of thermodynamics, or they were just impressive engineers who built elaborate tombs for kings they thought were gods.
