Alright, yes the forum updates were a prank and I'm sure no one liked them or thought they were funny in anyway, but now that it is over I need to ask you what you liked about the changes because I think there were some good in the mass of bad.
As it is currently the forum looks like this:
General:
-Main
-General Help
-Debate Forum
-Forum News
-Introduce Yourself
-Stickpage Animations & Games
Show Off:
-Community Projects
-Community Animations
-Community Artwork
-Animation Attack
and the rest is the same.
I wanted to know what you thought about the additions and combining of some of the forums. I'm not going to keep the changes if everyone is against them, though I think the Forum News and Introduction threads are useful.

Introduce yourself is pointless, I like the way it was in the main.

News is good, introduction might work, see how it runs, combining the animation forums might lead to twats not putting work in the right place as they don't look for the right section in subforums.
Everything else is fine.

You can't make a thread in the main "Community Animations" so it forces you to click on a sub forum. I think I solved that concern.
The introduce yourself I think will work because post count is turned off so there is no point for older members or newer ones to try to up post count by greeting every single member. The forum will also eliminate the "Hi I'm New" in main that occurs from time to time.

Having a section for introducing yourself wasn't all that bad. It gives more room for us to welcome/warn the member about stickpage. It also lets them say more about themselves. I'd say keep the introduction as a section.

Fair enough, that might work indeed.

The main opinions I need are from the animators who may or may not like the combination of the forums.

In my forum I didn't make a pivot section.
Everyone loved that.
But seriously the animations section of the forum is pretty much just fine. Unless you want to find some way to make Easytoon more active.

IMO we just need a seperate Flash section. It is critical that flashers don't have to wade through pivot junk.

Your not having to wade through pivot junk because they are in sub forums... I'm not following your thoughts.

Make sure you put Introduce yourself in the top of the thread.
So newbies know where to start.
If i were new to the website I'd go there, so you might want to create some "Rule thread" and FAQ around that forum.

Oops didn't notice the sub forums, I only ever use the "New Posts" button anyway.

On the temporary forum we had, there was a way that you could click on the person's avatar, and you could send them an instant message on the forum. Sort of like Private Messaging but instant. A box in the top right corner popped up when you got a message.
You should totally add that to stickpage.
