Anybody going from the US this year? If so share your experiences there, the bands you liked, ect.

also, http://www.myspace.com/thecatalangarrote
I guess you have to like this genre of music, I'm not sure what to call it besides hardcore, maybe grindcore. they broke up, but I think some the stuff they do have is amazing, and they're basically local to my area but they were signed and did do some concerts and whatnot, so just check them out, I think they're amazing.

Anyway, I'm actually off to warped right now, got a 40 minute drive to Camden, NJ.
Go.

I'm going this year. I was looking forward to TDWP, but their latest album was pretty lame :/. I think that band you posted has a musical style somewhere between metalcore and deathcore. Hardcore punk usually doesn't have breakdowns, and the vocal style is different.

NOFX is the only band I'd want to see. Most of the punk rock has left warped tour and has been replaced by emo fags.

warped was insannnee, i didn't take this, and I cant find any better ones, but i was somewhere upfront to the right of this, the breakdown at the end was great.

My friend went to it, said he saw Less Than Jake and a bunch of other awesome bands.

Wish I could go but I'm strapped for cash...

I don't know what band that is, but it sounds ****ing awful. If you wanted to listen to metal, you should have gone to Mayhem Festival.

Warped was pretty sick. A lot of really gay bands but the good ones were: Anti-Flag, Streetlight manifesto, Less than jake, and Bad Religion.

Oh ya: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV1WXYGCh0M

There were a ton of bottles in the air before Bad Religion played in Pomona. lol

Metal sucks. Mayhem Fest sucks. A Day To Remember isn't metal; they're melodic hardcore + metalcore.

LOL, I never said that I like A Day To Remember, just that they aren't pretending to be "metal." They're too pop for my tastes. I actually do like some metal (Black Dahlia Murder), but the metal community tends to be comprised of tchotches (like you, for example) who like to pretend that they're huge macho men and that any other kind music is for "faggots" and "pussies."

Thats not what I'm saying, broseph. I just ****ing hate that hardcore shit. I mostly hate the people that listen to it. They think they're so cool and badass with their "hardcore dancing". It's so ****ing stupid. And then someone accidentally punches someone else and they get their panties all up in a knot.

I have to agree that hardcore dancers who aren't expecting to get hit in a pit are pretty stupid.
BTW hardcore is a lot different from metalcore and deathcore, even though they're considered subgenres of it. Hardcore never really had "hardcore breakdowns." It's mostly just loud, fast punk music with gruff or screamed vocals.

Oh god. I know exactly what you are talking about. I watched these faggots in the pit and TDWP go at it and start crying when they got hit. (TDWP sucks BTW)

warped tour was almost always too emo for my taste but my friend invited me to that same camden show and i turned it down because of this years lineup. emo music just blows and devil wears prada sucks. i hate the bands that label themselves christian hardcore.
