I started thinking today, and I came up with two scenarios. Those two are A, and B. Either can be divided more, but I'm going to keep it simple right now.

Scenario A:

Life is as today.
Go back to beginning of the universe.
Big Bang Theory. Compacted matter.
What was before? What made that matter? Well, if whatever made it, had to of been made. It goes on and on.

Scenario B:

Life is as today.
Go back to beginning of the universe.
Intelligent Design Theory. A deity made the matter. Well, what came before that deity? Now, don't make an obvious logical fallacy, so this also has the same problem as Scenario A.

Results:
Something had to have come before, and another before that, and so on. Thus, both scenarios must lead to random creation, an illogical statement, or leading to the idea that...

Existence itself is illogical.

If you find anything wrong, point it out to me.

I deleted it. If you have a problem with me allowing you to not break the rules, then you can take your punishment.

As far as option B goes: I would imagine that a diety is not matter, therefore it can not be found or dissapated.

What came before the deity? And before that? And before that too? Befor that also....

Its pretty scary even if your religious to think about it, if you ask your self what was befor god, or the universe? Just pitch black?

The law of conservation of energy states that energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another,

which is the answer, as it was always there, but you still ask what was before that...

You will know when you die, asking these questions or wondering about it gives you a fuzzy feeling in the brain.

Atheists always try to use the whole "what came before god" or "who created god" thing to prove religion wrong. If you can believe that we just rot in the ground when we die, then how come you can't believe that God was always there?

Well, if Dudeman is right, then yipee. Cause that just brings in more problems. That belong in an existing thread.

Anyways, excluding that, it really doesn't matter, it is just another way for you to see just how useless our lives are.

For the deity theory, religion says that they can defy logic and have existed forever because they created logic and they're a God so they can do anything. That's what makes religion so sustainable, because nothing has to be explained past "God can do anything."

Hey, why don't you not try and bring religion into this?

Ehm, considering a deity as a theory =/= religion.
Dunno if you had picked that up yet.

Just because we can't explain something doesn't mean it's wrong. If we assumed that everytime in history when something unexplainable happened, we'd still be sitting in caves hunting animals.

This is a scary topic when you think of it. Cause no matter what you say, you can always question what came before it.
