With UFC 101 only a few days away I've been getting myself in the mood for this.
The two main bouts are the lightweight title bout between B.J Penn and Kenny Florian and the Light Heavyweight bout between Anderson Silva and Forrest Griffin.
Should be an awesome event as usual.

As I haven't been here for a while what did everyone think of UFC 100?
Lesnar showing complete disrespect for Mir and the company and the fans, that was out of order in my mind.
another thing that pissed me off from 101 was Hendo hitting Bisping with a flying elbow while he was knocked out. Bisping is a cocky prick but hitting him when he's already unconscious is a dick move.

Also, use this thread to just discuss martial arts as well as workout regimes/tips/anything to do with fitness and the world of MMA.

Hey Deathwish, how's it going man? Also I tried this once with this thread, but not too many people were interested. Hopefully this one goes better.

Can't wait for UFC 101. BJ Penn has brought in a ton of the best fighters in the world to his training camp, and he looks like he's in the best shape of his life. The main event should be an amazing fight.

I'm predicting that Anderson will pick apart Forrest, but that should be a really entertaining fight as well. Josh Neer vs Kurt Pelligrino will be awesome as well.

And for the fitness part, I started boxing a few weeks ago. I wanted to do Muay Thai instead, but the gym that I wanted to train at was closed. It reopened last week and I did a free class which was great, so I'll probably switch over to just Muay Thai.

I knew you'd be the first to reply, buddy.

Yeah, B.J is a phenomenal fighter, I really can't wait for this fight.

I think Anderson will win as well but I really like Forrest so It's a hard choice, I mean Forrest is a great fighter as well but I think Silva will have too much for him but I hope Forrest can get the win.
Not really familiar with either Neer or Pelligrino so I can't comment on this bout.

Boxing is good, really intense cardio so that's cool.
I used to do Muay Thai, got up to 8th grade(2 off Black belt) but lost interest as I was in the adult class then(I was 14) and I was getting dominated in sparring, and even learning techniques as I was way smaller than the other guys so I couldn't learn the proper technique.
I recommend Muay Thai though, may actually try and take it up again soon when I get a bit bigger.

Thinking about start going to the gym again, and get on the protein as I've got the money for it now. I have a really lean body type so with a bit of hard work at the gym I could have a really good body.

I watch this with my brother sometimes. I don't really know anybody, but the fights are usually pretty good.

You had belts at your Muay Thai school? There's usually no belts for most Muay Thai gyms since it's not a traditional martial art, but I know that there are some gyms that add them in anyways. Also yeah, I got some of the hardest workouts of my life at the boxing gym. The entire first week was just conditioning for an hour and a half.

Also if you thought that the extra flying elbow on Bisping was distasteful, I recommend that you don't look at this thread lol. http://www.stickpageportal.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105718

They weren't belts as such, they were things you tied around your biceps that indicted your grade. They were just used to track your progress really.
If I'd of stayed on a few extra weeks I could of had the chance to go train in Thailand on concrete floors in the ****ing mountains.

lol @ Knocked out.

Ah okay I know what you're talking about now. And yeah, training in Thailand would be a crazy experience.

Also UFC 103 just got updated with Rich Franklin vs Vitor Belfort as the main event. The whole card looks awesome though. What it lacks in star power, it makes up for with great matchups.

Yeah, 103 looks like a really strong card.
Always fun to see CroCop fight, even though he's been really shitty lately his kicks are still outstanding.
Kosheck and Trigg should be good as well.

And Sherks fighting aswell, so this is a really strong card.

Also, when did Machida vs Rua get announced?

I'm Glad us english folk get UFC 101 and 102 for free. I'm gonna stay up till 3am at my mates house to watch them, like I did with 100.

I predict BJ Penn by RNC in the second round
Forrest Griffin via RNC in the second round (Forrest always does well when he is the underdog)

And DW, I'm pretty sure it's announced for 104. Speaking of 104, that card looks awesome too.

* Champ Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (for light-heavyweight title)*
* Shane Carwin vs. Cain Velasquez*
* Yushin Okami vs. Chael Sonnen
* Anthony Johnson vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida*
* Ryan Bader vs. Eric Schafer*
* Chase Gormley vs. Ben Rothwell*
* Rob Kimmons vs. Jorge Rivera*
* Patrick Barry vs. Antoni Hardonk*
* Razak Al-Hassan vs. Kyle Kingsbury*

Yeah, 104 looks awesome as well now.

Machida is just a ****ing beast and will probably hold the damn title until he retires.
Shane Carwin looks like a good prospect as well, so should be a good fight between him and Velasquez.

I can see it just being me, StrunG and Gray posting in here, the rest of you are fat mofockers who dislike all forms of physical...erm, stuff.

lol yeah that's kind of how the last thread went too.

And yeah Machida looks unstoppable at the moment, but I think Shogun has the best chance at beating him. And Antoni Hardonk vs Pat Barry is going to be an awesome fight between two of the best strikers in the UFC.

LOL just read a report that Kimbo got KTFO in the first fight on TUF.
Apparently after that he went in a hissy fight and left the show, they got him to come back then he started shit and got high kicked in the ****ing head in the house and got knocked into the pool and the other guys had to go get him out.

Dana only put Kimbo in so he'd get embarrassed.
