Hey guys, lets keep posting videos of bass players or guitar players that we just googled and don't actually know anything about and continue to imply that the video we just posted is the pinnacle of musical perfection and awesomeness and that we just "won" the thread by posting it.

I appreciate good musicianship regardless of the instrument.


That being said, if you're looking for some really amazing bass players, search around for videos of Jaco Pastorius. Victor Wooten is another favorite of mine, and I can see a couple of his videos have already been posted.

Also, just because a guitarist plays really fast doesn't make them an amazing musician.

Don't diss Bass, it's an important part of music.

I agree with the Pierat, the instrument doesn't matter as long as the music is good. And fast guitar does not equal good guitar.
That said, I still prefer the sound of a bass to the sound of a guitar. I just find it has more depth to it. And it sounds funkier.

The music was nice. The bass is, as you say, funky. And it's easier to play than the guitar due to its lack of strings.
