In this tutorial I shall explain the basics of using the perspective in drawing. It's pretty simplistic, but the trick works.

Alright, here we'll try to make a basic cube and that's pretty much how you do everything.

We start with the horizon. Every somehow realistic drawing usually has one, since it also determines whether it's bird's view on the picture or whatever.
Image

Then we mark the vanishing point. It can be anywhere on the horizon or even off the horizon. There can be more of them. It's a pretty important "tool" when it comes to perspective.
Image

Now, to draw a cube from any view, we have to start with a square.
Image

You connect the angles with the vanishing point. Now you see where this is going, huh?
Image

Whenever you try to make a correct shape in the 3D view, it's really important to remember the lines should be parallel.
Image

Now connect everything like this.

Erase all uneccessary lines and there you go.

Now everything pretty much follows this principle. How does one draw a pyramid?

First you draw a cube the same way we did above and connect the inside corners of the upper part of the cube to get the middle.
Image

And now connect the lower angles.

This may look pretty simple, but you can create pretty realistic drawings of buildings using this technique.
Check out this:

His horizon was probably the green line I've marked and two vanishing point. I'm pretty much guessing here, but I know I'm close.

Or here for instance the vanishing point is in the middle.

Puinkey, I hope this helps. All images kindly provided by Paperclip.

Circles need at least 8 points of perspective, it's a pain in the ass.

Like I said. You need at least eight/seven or six(in some cases) points. For precision, it's better to use 8
Equally aligned.
Kinda like this:

For the globe, all you need is a circle. And then shade it. No other way because it has no angles.

For the circle. Yeah, it's a pain in the ass. Listen to Wtf.

owh ...
so what if its a character that we need to "perspectivate" ?

Do you mean we should split them up into basic shapes and align them with the H line ?
Like square heads, square torso , square hips and like that ?

You don't have to complicate it that much. Sure, if you want to.

I think I'm gonna go try measured perspective, this reminded me I used to be able to do that.

Meh, I usually free-sketch by eye and do just fine.

Good tutorial Mantha, I quickly drew this with your technique:

Although, I am still having trouble fully grasping the concept of multiple perspective (multiple vanishing points) Such as the image you showed above with the detailed building. Aswell as drawing complex objects in perspective... Do you just break them down into basic shapes?
