Look man, you don't have to defend yourself. I'm just trying to help out some one who hasn't seen the movie. One of this movie's great aspects is its originality. The more you know about it going in, the less you'll enjoy it. For instance, I knew about that RPG scene from the trailer. It was still definitely a big moment, but I didn't enjoy it as much because I was waiting for it to happen.


That flower scene is also a big moment. Not to mention Wikus' entire transformation, which in itself is most important part of the movie. Knowing about that stuff before hand would suck.

Wilkus turns into a prawn and the mercenary leader gets his head ripped off. Christopher and his son fly away in the spaceship. <---------spoiler

Why did they name the main alien (the one who escapes with his son at the end, after promising to help wikus transform back to himself when he gets back from saving his other prawn friends(because wikus turns into a prawn after inhaling some liquid he found in a shack in district 9)) Christopher? Sounds pretty human to me.

it's been out for a good amount of time now

I just ****ing saw it.
It's impossible to do any better.
From this point onwards, every single movie that I see this year will be a piece of crap compared to this.
Except of course, Inglorious Basterds.
And I hope there's not a sequel. Because people tend to become very lazy while filming the second movie. And this concept is just too awesome to crap over.

OMG district 9 is my favorite movie eva!!!! I loved Wikus and I really want a district 10. But at the end did the main character become a full prawn?

That wasn't him. It was just a random Prawn.

That was, by coincidence making flowers. And then he teleported the flower to wikus wife door.

i really hope the prawn ends up getting back to him so he can see his wife again, i would really like a happy ending

BTW, he's holding the flower AFTER she has the flower.

so she ended up throwing it in the trash like her friend told her too and then he found it, maybe convincing him that she'd completely forgotten about him? or do i remember things wrong here
