When i switched to CS3 (new computer and software for christmas) i didn't notice any bad changes. The brush is fine, and fb animating seems a lot easier on CS3 than my previous attempts on 8. AC wise, i have no idea how to work that stuff so the new software didn't really have any effect on me.
For flash though, why would people use graphic design when Photoshop is wayyyy better for Graphic Design and is in around the same price range. If i was focused on graphic design i'd just use photoshop
8 Vs Cs3

Graphic design isn't a main aspect of it, but it's not bad on it, either. But it's just there because it's a multimedia program. Another thing that can be achieved are creating applications for cell phones, which is pretty good for independent businesses.

Quote from the JawzFlash CS3 is better if you're serious about being a graphic designer or scripter, because it has more features and the scripting language is far stronger.
Flash 8 would be a better choice if you just want to animate stick figures.
Qft. raise it to 99.9
if you going to become serious, then cs3 is the way. i prefer flash 8 but i am soon making the plunge to cs3 in order to learn actionscript 3 which is going to blow cause i know nothing of it.
