The idea of doing this is that you go pretty much straight into REM sleep. So you end up getting the same amount of REM sleep as a normal person would.

Hmm I guess that might work because I forgot that you compensate for lack of REM sleep by going into it faster the next time you sleep.

You still wouldn't be getting many of the benefits of deep sleep though, which is arguably the most important phase.

Why are people giving reasons for this being a bad idea.

You're getting 2 hours of sleep a day, pretty simple to see that it's a ****ing bad idea.

But you won't be able to do those things as well as you would be with a good amount of sleep every night.

I feel great to be honest. Haven't felt this relaxed in ages.

I suspect it will work and would be vaguely beneficial in terms of time saved but it relies on you having half an hour free at the right times which I just don't.

For the record guys teenagers need 8+ hours of sleep to be healthy, whereas adults only need 4-6.

Just saying.

Schwa has it.

You can say 'I woke up and I feel great and more relaxed than ever."

That's an AMAZING reason to do it, I mean everytime I have a ciggy I feel so relieved and relaxed, clearly it's the best thing for me.

Oh wait.

Advantages:
More waking hours in which to get shit done.

Disadvantages:
Can and probably will rape you school/work life.

All you really need is a job with flexible hours (good luck with that, btw). For high school this is pretty pointless, but you can schedule college classes around this pretty well if you get your schedule shit done early.

I saw, as long as no one's losing their jobs or shit over this, let them do it and quit hassling them. Jeez.

Well gee, that's an interesting metaphor. The only problem is that there are multiple cases of people maintaining these sleep patterns for years on end with the only side effect being fruit juice cravings, while cigarettes have the somewhat larger side effect of, oh I don't know, FUCKING CANCER.

Er, did he say that?
Did he say he was getting fruit cravings?

No, what he said was that he was relaxed and therefore should carry on.
I simply put a valid point forward as a retort.
No need to get pissy.
