Ahaha, thats pretty funny, there is no way he is in the army though, he might just be trying some sort of civilian-military training program or some shit, even if he was in boot camp he would never get passed it.

Stupid awards? Like the Medal of Honor and such?

Thats stupid? Shit.......

The army and air force give out awards for getting shot at and showing up.But the Marines give out awards for doing killler things.

OP is biased. All my, my father's, my friends, AND my dad's friends have had the exact opposite experience. The marines are the ones that actually have the brains and the army are immature assholes. Honestly, I prefer the marine corps due to the fact that I want to be a pilot for the F-35. Pilots require some brains. The enlisted do not. Who has more enlisted? Army. I'd rather be mixed in with more intelligent people, therefore Marines is my first pick.

So the Marines sort of had the entire Airforce branch implemented into them?

What?

Eh... who wants to play favorites?

I have friends in the Navy, the Army, and the Marines...

To put it simply, it's all really situational. it also depends on whether or not you go in as active or as reserve. I think it's a bit much to say "oh they in the Navy so they are pussies" or "The Army is for dumb people" or "the marines are bloodthirsty soulless killing machines"... because it really doesn't matter all that much.

There is an exception though, I guess it's story time, if you need to go potty, it's probably a good time to do so now.

Anyway, a very good friend of mine is in the Army, his name is Angel. He was on leave last month and I got to hang out with him a bit, and during that time him and I went to visit another friend of his who was in his graduating class. In all honesty I can't remember this other friend's name so for the sake of storytelling I'll call him Tim. So Angel and I went to go visit Tim, and Tim was plastered. He gave Angel a warm welcome, a big hug and offered him and myself some booze.

We were gathered around a fire and Tim... well... Tim was a marine. He enlisted right out of high school and actually participated in the very beginning of the Iraq war. Tim wasn't some sort of emotionless killing machine like a lot of you guys probably think of marine's as... but instead, he was one of the most traumatize people I've ever met, and I've met a lot of them.

The entire time he was talking about it, I couldn't deter the subject if I tried. Stories of Tim watching people he knew have their brains blown out of their head as he sat behind his turret and fired wildly at the enemy. It was ****ed up.

I know a lot has happened to Angel as well since he's been in the Army, but he isn't the kind to talk so much about it, he's much more reserved.

But ultimately my point is... no branch is "better" than any other branch. I wouldn't toss a label on everyone within one because as usual that's a shallow and stupid way of viewing things. I have a great deal of respect for anyone that wants to fight for their country.

Simple.

you rang?

i pick the Airforce. You may say about the awards and crap but i can tell you Airforce is probably one of the most intelligent branch out there. Not saying marines nor army are stupid but each branch has its own unique way of things but all follow the same chain of command. No branch can say they won the war because each one deepens on each other.

Fr0zEnPh0eNiX, I agree with you, But then again soulless has a point, Each branch has there own unique way of fighting, And the Air Force is pretty cool and a little less dangerous... But then again all of the brances are dangerous but i would think the Airforce is not as dangerous because we can move fast, But land recruits(etc.) are not as fast: Example tanks are slow they cannot move fast, But they have good armour. Navy, Marines go medium speed underwater but theres still a great chance that there going to get hit by a on coming heatseeker(etc.) The reason i pick the Air Force is because they are fast, Possible to dodge heat seekers(etc.) it's not hot and we don't have to die slowly from drowning underwater.

The Air Force is one reason why we are losing the war in Afganistan. They give out pointless awards just for showing up.

........ are you implying that people just join the airforce because they get colorful ribbons that make there class -A/B's look good? or because they give a nice looking patch on their BDU's? you sir are very incompetent to realize the mentality it takes to even join a branch of the military. A small number of cadets even get past to Airforce standards due to the fact congress Eliminates 2/3's of the entry's they have each year. And you are saying that they do it FOR THE ****ING MEDALS. and you must have the pleasure to point out that its the Airforce that is to blame for "losing the war in Afghanistan". dude really. its the little fags like you who can type up these little useless comments and thinking that that's going to change anything. We have ourselves to blame for this war. Don't say its the fault of the Airforce because each cadet/officer is there because all they care for is medals... In fact don't even blame anybody in the military because their out their risking their lives everyday so that you good for nothing don't need to be strapped with a m16 and deployed in the middle of all this chaos.

the deaths of 55 American servicemen so far in the month of October have raised to more than 280 the number of U.S. servicemen killed this year in Afghanistan.

The eight U.S. troops were killed in separate bomb attacks in southern Afghanistan against Stryker Armored Vehicles that also killed one Afghan civilian. There were at least three Americans injured as a result of today's attacks.

Combined with the deaths Monday of 11 U.S. servicemen and three agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration in separate helicopter crashes, 22 Americans have been killed in Afghanistan in the past two days.

Army, Airforce, navy or marines. there people just like you and me.
