Blockie 3, is an anticipated title of mine that continues the series of blockie platformer games. Though, made a year ago when I was still learning some basics of graphical animation and art, they looked horrible and played quite average.
Now, with a third one, made a year after its first games release, I am hoping to make a huge step.

Just to show you guys some comparisons, I will show you the improvements made from the first blockie, to this one.

Blockie 1 Level 1:

Blockie 3 Level 1:

Thats quite the jump as you can see.

So now, for screenies of the game.

Level 1:

NOTE: This is only a PART of the level, the actual one is much bigger.

Cinematic 1:

Level 2:

There are about 10 levels done so far, and there is a 'choose your path' element in the game, allowing for some replay value.
And there are so far, 4 hidden easter eggs.

Nice improvment, looks good overall. How does the game flow better in comparison? Like the jumping and landing and all that gabble.

Jumping is improved, movement speed is better, the platforms are less glitchy, and the fps has been up'd.
As well as a death is possible, as before, if you fell off the screen, you would just stay there forever, as well now there is hit detection, instead of pressing a button at the end of the level.

@Brian C, A demo will be released shortly, allowing you to play the tutorial level.

I actually agree with you to be honest :P
Its good that you guys are liking the screenies, though as I said earlier, a demo will come out shortly.
I am expecting this the be completely done sometime in May.
But, if it doesnt come out, it will probably mean me just trying to make it internet compatible (Fps to not lag, linking to sites in preloader, beta testing, etc).

well, I would think it would be better with more scenery. Especially if there are multi-levels. It would get repetitive and boring. Also, loving the block guy with the face. That face gets repetitive to. So try mixing up the color, light shading, and maybe the facial expression. You should also add obstacles to. If you've played super smash bros brawl, you should add the elevating platforms to. Some unique things would be cool. These are just suggestions I came up with from what I know, I don't know if you were planning on changing stuff up like I said.

Overall, the game looks awesome. The Scenery is awesome and entertaining, once again. Big improvement from your last game. Good job/luck, I look forward to playing this game.

There are obstacles, they just arent in the screen shots.
There is more than just that one block in the game.
Why would you compare this to brawl?
This is a platformer, made by a 10 year old.
Just so you know, there are new backgrounds for each level, so I dont see where you come from with the scenery comment.

I meant different types. And I wasn't comparing it to Brawl, I used the elevating platforms from Brawl as an example of an obstacle you could add, if you wanted to. I didn't mean add more than one block, I meant possibly change the block around so it doesn't always look the same. I see how the scenery is yes, different, but what I meant is like a forest style level, or something of that nature. You're the creator so you can either maybe use my suggestions, or just go with your initial idea. Doesn't really change the fact that I think it looks awesome.

So I seemed to have misunderstood, sorry about that.
And dont worry, all of those ideas you mentioned have already been planned out, if not already put into the game.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, I enjoy it.
As well, an update on the game as of today is that there will be more than just platformer elements in the game.
Just to give one element out, there will be a shooting element where you see in the games such as the xiao xiao shooter, but in just little 2 minute minigame segements.
And the easter egg number is now increased to 6.

you could do a random story line scene thing in between each level, like how the character gets to one level to another.

example: you finish a level where you8're in the forest, then a short scene comes up of the stickman/whoever running out of the forest and jumping into the ocean or something, which starts a water level.

Another suggestion you can choose to take, reject, or have already done.
I reiterate: I cannot wait to play this game.
