Many commercial products are going "green" from hybrids, to tv, to even the recycled cup sleeves on the starbucks cups. Why would we have to spend even more money in it? Why would the U.S have to solve another of the world's issues while it is in a nationwide recession?

There isn't any need to waste any more money on the green policies. The money shouldn't be spent anywhere, least of all on a global issue.

Perhaps you are misunderstanding how the new system will work. If, on average, companies in the US are already green, this legislation will cost the US nothing whatsoever.

maybe you should learn how these things work before you try to base debates on them?

Because trying to find alternate fuel sources for when we eventually run out of natural gas isn't a nice cause.

Polar bear homes aren't being destroyed... You just bought into manipulative liberal propoganda and false ads... But i guess not mindlessly believing any environmentalist ad on the New York Times is stupid.

And gavel;
Nasa has already invented an engine that polarizes and shoots out argon gas particles to move. And it runs off of solar power currently.

Perhaps with enough funding it could become a comercial product, but wait! You want to help polar bears from dangers that hardly exist.

I don't see you trying to debate, less you count recalling your past like a friggin grampa "debating". What kind of name ARE YOU giving Republicans, if your gonna let the dems gang up on the younger Rep's, then pat themselves on their backs for it.

edit: gavel, i was stating that if he is gonna throw money down the toilet anyway, it might as well go for a nice cause.

Haha, you resort to calling me names and condescending towards how I debate, and quite frankly, I don't believe there is nothing wrong with the way I debate and I don't believe I was getting ganged up on. Which is fine but the way you are "debating" right now is idiotic and down right God awful. You need to find a way to get your ideas across better (if you know what you're talking about) or know you have no idea what you're saying so just shut it.

But I personally do believe in global warming but we aren't (as a human race) having as much of an effect on it as radicals and Al Gore say we are. I took an environmental class over the summer and my college professor gave us an assignment to either prove global warming existed or not. But I kind of went in the middle of the road as to saying that I do believe in it but not as much as everyone says we are (got an A on the paper :D). I actually found, wish I could find the article, that from 1 volcano eruption that eruption emits more harmful gases to our ozone layer than the human race emitted since it has existed!

I think we should find alternative ways and drill in our country only because of our intense dependence on other countries to fund us with oil. Oil has caused us many problems and hard aches. If we could reduce/do-away-with our dependence on foreign oil our country would definitely prosper more.

Will you quit with the polar bears shit. Environmental help doesn't just focus on global warming.

Says the guy who's first comment towards me was an insult. You simply water down your posts and take the middle ground on things to avoid conflict.

"DOH.. I BELIEVE THER WARMIN', BUT I DNT BELIEVE WH CAUSE IT"

"THAT KIDNA SOCIALIST, BUT U WONG"

Perhaps you need to pull your head out of your hole and get a stand before you comment on my debating, and contradict yourself.

Edit: GAVEL, can you scroll to the top, or do you not have the IQ to? I was responding to kitsune mainly. I included you in the post simply because i think you would see that it was "clean" enough for your cause. It even runs off of plentiful atmospheric gas.

They aren't destroyed yet as these ads state but they're going to be destroyed by climate change, in the future. Ice caps are melting whether you deny it or not.

Also when you insult people back in response to insults you don't really look like the bigger man, especially when you're as bad at insulting as yourself. I'm not saying I act mature, you're just being a hypocrite in calling him a hypocrite, hypocrite.

Now you're acting like a hypocrite, which is exactly what I wanted from your post. How am taking the middle ground? Just because I agree with different people and taking best of both worlds and using it to form my own opinion you thing I'm avoiding conflict? Definitely never contradicted yourself and your little rants are quite amusing 'cus you haven't had any real input into this conversation besides getting people angry.

"DOH.. I BELIEVE THER WARMIN', BUT I DNT BELIEVE WH CAUSE IT"

"THAT KIDNA SOCIALIST, BUT U WONG"

By the way, I definitely have never responded with that kind of awful typing and mediocrity, thus you should be the one to "pull your head out of a hole."

Haha and you say I don't like conflict.

Eh... I wish I could join this debate.

Frankly, I didn't vote for him, but I didn't vote at all so it doesn't really matter what I think. I thought he was a weak leader.. and I still think he's a weak leader, but ultimately, he's no worse than McCain.
