A 3-d section would be swell, but there also isn't a lot of people who do it. Hell there isn't a lot of people who post in the animation section period I'd guess. I also think you'd be a lot better off going to a forum tailored for 3-d animating and design and stuff. Rather than listening to us.

maybe a sub-section in the "other" section might work.

Quote from ManthaAre you an idiot? Mods can't manipulate sections.
WTF yes they can, they did before :/

They never could. Stop making stuff up. Why the hell do you think I wouldn't know what can I do after almost 3 years of modship here? You sir, are an idiot.

Even when I was a admin on my old noobie forum, mods did not hold the permisssions to manipulate forums.

People who shut this down are being completely unreasonable.
You say that it wont affect you? Fine..
The whole reason I got into animation was because I happened to click the forum button and saw how many of the general population were animating.
If everyone else could, I thought maybe I could to
I wish I could've found a 3D animation program before I picked up pivot,
but unfortunately we didn't have a 3D section.
Sure there might be that many people animating in 3D yet, but as more people start posting, more resources will become available and the section will grow
This has my vote

Yeah, thats a good point !
But starting with 3d isnt the best idea :) The 3rd dimension complicates it a lot, I highly recommend to start with something easy and clear, such as pivot or flash.

Although any sophisticated human being would realize this.

3D section ftw, maybe then I'd start using Max once more..
Oh and I don't see the problem with learning 3d programs first, we all have well developed spacial intelligence and kids should pick it up easily. I learned autocad when I was like 9 and my head didn't asplode.

First learn how to move then how to draw, then how to do 2d and then, after mastering all this, I would start with 3d, cause its the most bad ass thing ever and you should be prepared to deal with it.My opinion.

It's a swell idea, but you do realize it's going to take years for CJ, Zulu or PC to take any action?

I tried 3D animation, with some free program that was recommend by a lot of people. Failed. Couldn't even draw a circle or animate it. Read a few help topics, gave up. Yep, I like making music a lot more than animating these days.
