View Profile Lol you talking to me? It's a valid reason for the existence of commercials. I'd rather have the best parts of a movie delayed by commercials then have to choose between watching them and pissing my pants.
Nooooo, I agree with you. I was talking to the OP. I always get up and do shit during commercials.

View Profile That is rather, If I am allowed to say, a dumb question. Commercials exist because that's how TV stations make money, the bank doesn't give them money just because they like one of the shows in that TV station. And frankly, without commercials, you wouldn't know about products that are new in the market that would interest you.
Ask yourself this, should TVs exist if commercials were in TVs?

I try to control it, but you know what they say about people with brown hair and brown eyes. We're full of shit.

View Profile I hate commercials because ther's so goddamn many of them, and I'm sure they are getting longer and longer.
And quite a lot I see stupid kids TV shows that come on and make me think... "why the hell did they make this?" and then I see the toy commercial for it and I think... "oh, to sell a product" and that's what everything is, a commercial. But if I'm honest there is no point in complaining because they're here and they're here to stay and there is nothing we can do about it.

View Profile if you want to do that, you just need a DVR, you don't need to switch to a whole new company.

View Profile You guys are all ****ing idiots if you think that we dont need commericals.
Its how the TV channel makes enough money by selling ad slots to actually be able to sign the TV series on long enough to get the views and money it eventually makes.
Its also there to space out the programming for toilet breaks and to allow the viewer time to digest whatever the **** the new episode of Lost is about. The richer TV channels can eliminate AD spaces because they have enough money not to worry but many keep them in as it is a sort of tradition.
**** you guys are dumb.

View Profile That's what the remote was invented for... You got 600+ channels, so I'm sure at least two of them will be watchable. One goes on break, flip the channel. If they're both on breaks, then it's time for you to go on break. Or find another channel/look for upcoming programs or movies, etc.
I rarely ever sit through commercials. I usually only see commercials if they're funny enough to make it to youtube and somehow I chance upon them. I hate TV. I just don't watch it anymore if I have absolutely ANYTHING better to do.
