As one of the few german musicians being able to say that they've recorded an mtv unplugged concert, indie-rock band Sportfreunde Stiller succesfully participated this year.

Generally speaking, their music is rather quiet and their lyrics are thoughtful(-romantic) but clever and funny as well! I neither know all of their albums, nor have I listened to all of their songs yet, but as far as I've done, i must say they're unexceptionally decent!

I don't like them, they're really nothing special and just can't catch my ear.

matter of taste i guess... took me some time to get into them as well.
plus i dont know any similar german band really :O

There's so many bands like this that just don't get the exposure that these guys got. But if I put an apple into spotlight, it's still just an apple.
