im not a big fan of halo, and they've had better trailers. i hate games where you have to hit people 18 times to kill them.

So many Halo sequels.
I have stopped playing after Halo 1. I never looked at Halo 2 or 3, ODST...
I don't even know the order so yeah, might start from 2.

Wow, because 3 is SUCH a big number of sequels. ****, ODST wasn't even really a sequel, its more of a spinoff.
Anyway, I'm not letting myself get excited until I find out what the gameplay will me like. If it's based on the book Halo: Fall of Reach, however, then that'll help. Looks like it is so far. It's not a substitute for the Halo movie, though.
And yea, people, Bungie has already said that they are going to stop making Halo games and start making a new franchise.

For a game that seems like they are trying to stretch and fill their greedy pockets with even more money. It's not even that well developed. They should really develop plot, characters and plan out a good storyboard with innovative gameplay. That might get people interested, I don't really know if Halo 2,3 or ODST is good in terms of Single player and Multiplayer but hell, I've played a lot of FPS games and Halo is no different, just a different story with different characters and guns.
After that maybe they might get some recognition of actually creating a "good sequel" rather than saying "Oh lets' write a story off this Halo book, hurr, hurr. We need more money anyway"

One thing man, saying that Bungie is making these games to make a quick buck is definately far from the truth. Its obvious that Bungie has, for every game they've put out int eh Halo franchise, poured their hearts into crafting them. Whether the games are good or bad, Bungie REALLY CARES about the series. I loved ODST, because it was a really emotional and personal story, not generic FPS fare. Halo 2 and 3 both delivered extremely well on the detail front. They are games that made me feel like part of a world, which is something that "cash-in" games fail at.
Halo Reach will not just be a way to make a quick buck, that much is certain. Bungie has yet to develop any game that was, and they aren't likely to start now, especially given the way they have been keeping this one secret so well.

Regardless of the shit people give Halo, I've never once played through a Halo game and had to stop and think about how broken the game is or how dumb the plot was starting to get.
At this point they could put out any polished turd with the Halo name on it and they'd still make hundreds of millions in profit, but they still obviously put a ton of effort in all of their releases. If nothing else they deserve credit for that.

The Halo series has a great story, but I was never really one to enjoy the gameplay. I loved Halo 2, but after that I just didn't bother as much as I know I should have. Because of that, I never really experienced the Halo effect.
With that said, I do intend to get this game, and I do intend to play it, and it seems likely I'll be able to enjoy it.

I agree with 2D with the entire Twilight comparison.
The only reason people dislike Halo nowadays is because they ****ing suck at the game and cannot handle people giving them shit about it.
Halo 3 takes a lot more skill than Halo 2 takes.
Also, if you've never played Halo online before, shame on you.
The Multiplayer is pretty cool, I just wish that bungie would make more unique maps instead of the same old generic environments that you can run around in.
Hopefully with Halo Reach, bungie will actually redo the Multiplayer system and incorporate a new ranking system that way I can get my 50's all over again. As for the Campaign, I've never been a big fan of the storylines, but I'm still going to play through it like I did for ODST.
