On topic, Tovarich, it is not likely that the Large Hadron Collider will destroy the world. The particle collisions it is causing are ones that happen in the Earth's air all the time. The purpose of the collider is just to perform these collisions in an environment where we can use scientific instruments to gather information about them. In fact, the collider has recently been turned on and collisions are going on all the time, and so far no black holes have destroyed us.
