For flash, everyone here usually uses filebox.me and truploader.

How to upload and post your Flash animations

Alright, you have your animation.

Amazing! good work.

Now, go to File > Export > Export Movie

Name it, or don't, and save it.

Now upload it to filebox.me, and there you go.

If you want to embed the flash in your post, then copy the direct link instead:
http://filebox.me/files/47tqa4xd5_super_cool_animation.swf
and fill in the blanks.
[swf=DIRECT LINK HERE]height=* width=*[/swf]

example:
[swf=http://filebox.me/files/47tqa4xd5_super_cool_animation.swf]height=400 width=550[/swf]

And you'll get:
[swf=http://filebox.me/files/47tqa4xd5_super_cool_animation.swf]height=400 width=550[/swf]

If you don't know the height and width of your animation, check it in the properties of your animation

protip: you can post your animations like this without having 20 posts! woohoo.

Sad when this is needed.

an alternate solution to export is just hit control+enter (i think) to test the movie, and it creates the .swf to do so. unfortunately, that way you can't rename it immediately, nor tell it where to drop it.

ctrl+enter makes a swf if you've saved the .fla
If you save the .fla as myfirstanimation, the .swf will be myfirstanimation.swf
By drop, I assume you mean save, it saves the .swf file directly under the .fla because in most circumstances it's alphabatized, and f comes before s unless you're retarded or something.

It basically saves the swf in the same place as the fla

I just use the swf. file of my animation and upload it on fileize. If you can't find your swf. file just go to publish setting, click on the folder icon behind your swf. file and just select a destination that is easy to find and click on publish.
