Ok, so our advanced graphic arts teacher announced a mandatory project. We were designing a winebox label and side label for a small independent company. The winning design was going into production. There were also cash prizes for the first and second. The teacher was pulling on a pool of 60-80 kids to do this project.
The only catch was that we had to use original content. No special brushes of any kind, no pictures, nothing exciting. Most of my class mates just used stuff anyway since they knew they wouldn't get caught. I might have been the only person who didn't use outside sources.
Anyway, the results came in friday.
I ended up getting first place - $150 in cash. I was pretty excited since I not only ass rape my class at flash, but now I have my face metaphorically tatoo'd on their back for photoshop aswell. Ironically, I think I won for my simple design. Where everyone went astray with fancy brushes, I think mine stood out even more. I had a simple black, white and red color scheme with some pretty basic design elements.
tl;dr
I got $150 in cash for going to school.
Congradulations to Tman aswell for his 3rd place. Nice job, mate.
